ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

Brit European fully complies with all environmental legislation and the specified standards of Government and regulatory authorities.

Recognising the potential effect that some elements of activity may create, the Company is fully committed to minimising damage to the environment and negating pollution by proactively developing best practice initiatives in:

• Transport fuel efficiency
• Transport optimisation
• Waste disposal Energy use
• Use of paper

The company has an ‘Environmental Efficiency’ programme specifically designed to identify and implement commercially viable and sustainable initiatives with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions per unit delivered by up to 25% by 2020. It is also targeting to remove 75% of all paper in its operations by 2016.

Initiatives include:

• Equipment Design
• Truck Technology
• Systems and Process Engineering
• Training and awareness for Employees
• Awareness initiatives for Customers

Brit European is fully supportive of Government policy to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill sites and to reduce CO2 emissions and has implemented an on-going process to review waste disposal in line with the Government’s Waste Minimisation Programme:

• Eliminate – avoid producing in the first place
• Minimise – reduce the amount produced
• Re-Use – re-use as many times as possible
• Recycle – recycle as much as possible after it has been re-used
• Dispose – dispose of what is left in a responsible way
